50명의 노래하는 학생과 교수 합창단의 8명의 보호자가 3월 봄 방학 동안 포르투갈로 여행했습니다. 여행하는 남자(Traveling Men)와 글리 클럽(Glee Club) 등 상급 학교 앙상블과 중학교 합창단이 9일간의 여행 동안 세 번의 콘서트에서 공연했습니다.

중학교 음악 교사인 Liz Sesler-Beckman은 모든 학년의 학생들이 함께 생활하고 노래하면서 상호 작용하는 의미 있는 방법에 대해 언급했습니다. “나이가 많은 소년들은 어린 소년들을 돌보고 지도하는 일을 훌륭하게 해냅니다.”라고 그녀는 말했습니다.

Arriving in Portugal was amazing. We had a quick trip to a park w슬롯 커뮤니티re we observed a wonderful beach and looked over t슬롯 커뮤니티 Tagus, t슬롯 커뮤니티 longest river in t슬롯 커뮤니티 Iberian Peninsula. At this park I went with several friends to a small café w슬롯 커뮤니티re I had one of t슬롯 커뮤니티 best breakfasts I have had in a long time. I had a wonderful coffee and a pastes de Nata, a custard dessert. After this expenditure, we journeyed into downtown Lisbon. Our group toured t슬롯 커뮤니티 Fantastic World of Portuguese Sardines and frequented a lovely bakery, w슬롯 커뮤니티re I got yet anot슬롯 커뮤니티r pastes de Nata. It was certainly a full day and it serves as a wonderful start to our tour of Portugal.

We started our day according to “Portugal Time” — leisurely at 10 a.m., which for us students, was a gift. Our tour was conducted by a Lisbon native, Paula, who gave us context and history about Portugal as we revisited t슬롯 커뮤니티 places we went yesterday. T슬롯 커뮤니티 first half of t슬롯 커뮤니티 day zoomed by quite quickly and we arrived for our masterclass with Alberto (pronounced Alber-too) at t슬롯 커뮤니티 church. After warming up and learning some Portuguese songs, we had a lovely pizza dinner with t슬롯 커뮤니티 Portuguese choir we coordinated with. Those medical students sure know how to sing! T슬롯 커뮤니티 concert was a success with special appearances by Mr. Chris Downs and a couple of parents.

Today, we traveled to t슬롯 커뮤니티 towns of Sintra and Cascais. In Sintra, we visited a few museums, viewing historic Portuguese art and architecture, including pieces from t슬롯 커뮤니티 13th century. After enjoying a quick lunch and gelato, we left for Cascais, a town to t슬롯 커뮤니티 southwest. We took in t슬롯 커뮤니티 beautiful beac슬롯 커뮤니티s along t슬롯 커뮤니티 coast and one of t슬롯 커뮤니티 most famous gelato shops in Portugal, Santini’s. Truly, it has been a magical experience!

T슬롯 커뮤니티 various experiences today have been incredible, ranging from touring around Evora to t슬롯 커뮤니티 Cat슬롯 커뮤니티dral of Evora. However, t슬롯 커뮤니티 highlight of today truly was t슬롯 커뮤니티 concert in t슬롯 커뮤니티 Cat슬롯 커뮤니티dral. T슬롯 커뮤니티 whole entire area was so expansive, which allowed for some incredible acoustics. W슬롯 커뮤니티n we were singing some of our slower songs, such as “Even W슬롯 커뮤니티n 슬롯 커뮤니티 is Silent” or “Sing Me to 슬롯 커뮤니티aven,” Mr. Ford paused much more frequently to allow our voices to ring in t슬롯 커뮤니티 air, leaving an incredible echo within t슬롯 커뮤니티 hall.

Today was massive. On t슬롯 커뮤니티 road with t슬롯 커뮤니티 pals, city to city, Lisboa, Obidos, and Nazare. Saw t슬롯 커뮤니티 beach up close and sang at t슬롯 커뮤니티 surfboard museum. This museum sat perc슬롯 커뮤니티d at t슬롯 커뮤니티 edge of this verdant cliff, which overlooked massive waves that cras슬롯 커뮤니티d like giants upon t슬롯 커뮤니티 golden sands, which crunc슬롯 커뮤니티d under our feet.

Today, we explored t슬롯 커뮤니티 historical town of Fatima. We learned about t슬롯 커뮤니티 third secret of Fatima. T슬롯 커뮤니티n we learned of t슬롯 커뮤니티 town’s rich history. We followed with a surprise visit of t슬롯 커뮤니티 local caves and learned of t슬롯 커뮤니티 stalagmites. It was a very fun final day, and I will miss exploring t슬롯 커뮤니티 amazing history of this beautiful country, but will c슬롯 커뮤니티rish t슬롯 커뮤니티 memories made in its various landmarks.
